In last month’s issue of Palestine & The UN, we had the pleasure of welcoming readers to visit the newly launched web site of the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the U.N. We hope that many of you have had the opportunity to visit www.palestine-un.org and have found the site to be interesting and resourceful.

In an effort to maintain the relevance and currency of our site, we will continuously strive to improve and expand it, regularly updating categories and developing new features of interest and importance to our audience. In light of our initial evaluation and initial responses, we have already planned a few additions. Among those additions is a section detailing international or regional positions on the question of Palestine and the Middle East peace process adopted by groups such as the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the League of Arab States, Group of 77, the European Union, Organization of African Unity, and the Group of Eight, on the question of Palestine and the Middle East peace process. Furthermore, and for ease of access, there will be a section containing recent documents added to the web site, as well as other new and relevant information, which will also be placed in their respective categories.

The web site has also been equipped with a search engine to assist research and facilitate location of items of interest. It is hoped that this expansion of the site’s technical capacities, as well as the improvement of present categories and the addition of new and timely pieces and sections will enhance the site’s quality and practicality.

We continue to welcome any comments or suggestions and we look forward to your feedback at mission@palestine-un.org.
